Whincup and Owen Take Gold Coast 600 for TeamVodafone

Drive Steve Owen celebrated his first V8 supercars championship win with a victory in the Armor All Gold Coast 600 on the weekend. Starting from 2nd row on the grid, he and teammate Jamie Whincup avoided the carnage on the track to win the race in style.

Amazing 1-2 Finish for TeamVodafone at Bathurst

TeamVodafone have filled both first and second placings in the Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 with Craig Lowndes and Mark Skaife beating home Jamie Whincup and Steve Owen in an impressive finish to round 12 of the V8 Supercars Championship. Whincup is now only 125 points behind James Courtney for the lead.

Courtney Steals Top Spot After Impressive Winton Win

James Courtney has taken over the V8 Supercar Championship lead after an impressive victory on May 16th at Winton Raceway. He has displaced Team Vodafone's Jamie Whincup at the top of the leaderboard after Whincup finished an unimpressive 24th. It is Courtney's fourth successive race win and the first time someone other than Whincup has been leading the championship since Bathurst 2008.

Jim Beam Juggernaut Sweeps in the Ipswich 300

Jim Beam Racing driver James Courtney has held off Garth Tander in an exciting race at Queensland Raceway on May 2nd to take out both races of the Ipswich 300.

He has now closed the gap on Jamie Whincup to 24 points in the 2010 V8 Supercar championship and is now a serious contender.

Whincup Almost Seals V8 Series

Jamie Whincup has all but sewn up a second successive V8 Supercar Championship Series after a solid fourth in the latest round at Barbagallo on the weekend.

Fellow TeamVodafone driver won the event, but it was Whincup's clinically precice performance to almost clinch the 2009 title that will see him hailed as one of the greats of the sport.

Lowndes Wins on Gold Coast

Team Vodafone driver Craig Lowndes has won the Nikon SuperGP on the Gold Coast but teammate Jamie Whincup failed to finish after crashing into a wall at turn nine.

Over half the field were involved in some kind of crash or altercation, with Lowndes finishing ahead of Ford's Mark Winterbottom and Toll Holden's Garth Tander on the podium.
